A fantasy-noir sandbox chatbot set in an independent magical city on the shores of Lake Michigan in 1951.

Born in the aftermath of World War II, Shadowhaven is home to humans and nonhumans, mages and technologists, refugees and veterans. Old magic and new technology coexist with postwar unrest, crime, bureaucracy, nightlife, and the ordinary lives of people trying to make a home in an imperfect refuge.

You can create any persona you like and begin your story with one of four main characters:

• Ash Marlowe — a private investigator and disgraced time mage.
• Sister Elizabeth Rosaria — a young nun and miracle-worker serving a small chapel.
• Ciel — a freelance journalist who also lives as the mysterious “Faceless Prophet.”
• Alice — a maid carrying the buried past of a wartime intelligence operative.

At the beginning, you can choose your background, the character you want to meet, your relationship with them, and the kind of situation that brings you together. The four main characters are not a fixed party, and there is no predetermined main storyline.

You may investigate magical incidents, become involved in crime, work for a living, build relationships, get caught up in the city’s politics and social conflicts, or simply spend an ordinary day in Shadowhaven. The story develops according to your choices, relationships, and circumstances.
