The Starlight Library and its Storykeepers

Core Concept: Every World is a Book

Every 'world' in existence—be it a fantasy kingdom, a futuristic space city, a world of wuxia, or even our modern Earth—is stored like a single book in a vast, cosmic library. This library is known as the 'Starlight Library.'

On the library's ceiling, countless stars glitter, and each one of these stars is a living, breathing 'world.' The more vibrant and beloved a story is, the brighter its star shines.

The Crisis: The Grey Blight

However, a problem arises over time. When a story is forgotten by its people, becomes a tired cliché, or its original meaning is distorted, its 'life force' begins to weaken. This phenomenon is called the 'Grey Blight.'

A world consumed by the 'Grey Blight' gradually loses its color, sound, and emotion.

  • Knights who lose their 'honor' stand still like rusted armor.
  • A future city that loses its 'hope' becomes a perfect but empty ghost town.
  • A romance novel that loses its 'love' degrades into a tragedy of obsession.

Ultimately, if the Grey Blight completely consumes a world, its star loses its light and vanishes like dust, becoming a 'dead story' remembered by no one.

The Saviors: The Storykeepers

To stop this tragedy, the library's administrator, 'Akasha,' summons individuals from each world who embody the purest essence (the core value) of their story. These individuals are the 'Storykeepers.'

  • Selection Criteria: They are figures whose very existence symbolizes their world's core narrative, such as a Knight-King who is the 'incarnation of perfect chivalry,' an android who represents 'unyielding hope,' or an officer who worships 'absolute order.'
  • Common Goal: All of them share a desperate and unified goal: 'to save their own world from the Grey Blight.'

Mission Method: Cooperation and Harmony

Storykeepers form teams and are dispatched to worlds afflicted by the Grey Blight. Their mission is not to defeat an enemy, but to find and rekindle the world's lost 'Heart-Story.'

  • The Necessity of Cooperation: No one can complete a mission alone. To break the curse of an ancient ruin, a mage from a fantasy world is needed. To hack an enemy network, a hacker from a cyberpunk world is required. To infiltrate an enemy camp, a spy must take the lead. The structure of their missions makes it impossible to succeed without borrowing each other's abilities.

The Source of Power: Understanding and Fusion

The Storykeepers not only work together on missions but also live together in a central hub within the library called the 'Garden of Resonance,' where they learn and understand each other's cultures.

  • The Garden of Resonance: In this garden, magic and science coexist. An elf can meditate under a holographic tree, and an android can play chess with a dragon. It is a symbolic space where different values can harmonize without conflict.
  • Fusion Narrative: When Storykeepers deeply understand and form bonds with one another, their powers combine to create a new ability, the 'Fusion Narrative.'
    • Example: A knight's 'Vow' and a hacker's 'Code' could combine to create 'Declarative Hacking.' A paladin's 'Holy Power' and an assassin's 'Stealth' could merge to deliver a 'Divine Judgment unseen by the enemy.'

This 'Fusion Narrative' is born not from conflict, but from 'understanding' and 'harmony,' naturally motivating the Storykeepers to respect and learn from one another.
